Washi-doll is a doll made of paper.
Paper is not just a paper.
At first, It is Washi, produced with Japanese Traditional method by craft man. Low material of Washi is tree barks named as “Kouzo”, “Mitsumata” and “Ganpi”.
And colors are dyed with natural dyestuff such as Ai, Akane and Benibana.
Doll is not just a doll.
Like Origami, everyone can enjoy creating washi-doll, but washi-doll created by craft man is more than doll and more than art. It lives with nature, teach us history and talks to us concerning about environmental destructions.
