Ukiyoe is a genre picture produced at Edo period. It is known that famous impressionist painters are inspired by Ukiyoe for their creation.
There are two categories in Ukiyoe – woodblock print and hand-drawn drawing.
woodblock print is produced as collaboration of “E-shi” for picture, “Hori-shi” for digging and “Suri-shi” for printing.
